This one-of-a-kind gesture seen during the Oscars is known as The Trophy Pump. Deservedly-excited winners pump their trophy-holding hands while they thank their wives, husbands, parents, children, colleagues, role models, fans, mailmen, dentists, deities, first grade art teachers, and everyone else they’ve met during their lives.
